Nicole Joy-Fraser
Nicole Joy-Fraser (Tsa’tinée, Nehiyaw, Métis/ Settler) is an award-winning, Indigi-queer, performing artist with bloodlines from Horse Lake First Nation, Treaty 8. For over 20 years she has been storytelling for stage and screen, across Turtle Island and beyond, and has worked with many celebrated companies such Stratfest, Shaw, Mirvish, Soulpepper, Theatre Aquarius, CBC, CBS, BBC and Telefilm. As a proud Bear clan matriarch, 60’s scoop witness and 2Spirit Helper, supporting each other through healing and the Indigenous arts continues to be a passion of theirs. They have only recently been developing their own storytelling in the Onguiaahra region where they reside and are also an emerging director and dramaturge.
