Joelle Peters

Joelle Peters is an Anishinaabe award-winning playwright and actor from Walpole Island First Nation in Southwestern Ontario. A graduate of Seneca College’s Acting for Camera and Voice Program, Joelle has performed in theatres and festivals across the country including The Stratford Festival, Western Canada Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, and more. Joelle is a Siminovitch Prize Protegé (2020, laureate Tara Beagan) and she has written 3 plays.
She is also the Artistic Director of Native Earth Performing Arts.
