Christine Sokaymoh Frederick
Christine Sokaymoh Frederick has been the Executive Director of the Dreamspeakers Festival Society since 2016, producing the annual DIIFF and Rubaboo Festivals. She is an urban Cree-Métis and has forty-five years of artistic experience, as a dancer, musician, media artist, writer, actor, producer and director. She has sat on the board of directors for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra/Winspear Centre, as Chair of the Edmonton Arts Council, Vice Chair of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and on the Committees for Iniw River Lot 11 Indigenous Public Art Park, and Edmonton's Indigenous Artist in Residence. She is the recipient of the 2007 Esquao Award in Arts, the 2016 Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Artistic Leadership and the 2022 Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal.
