Joleen Ballendine
Joleen Ballendine is a writer, actor, and improviser based in Treaty 6 Territories. She is a two-time Canadian Screen Award nominee for both her performance and writing in Caution May Contain Nuts on APTN. Joleen has been involved in television series and web series as a writer and performer, some projects include Gender I hardly know Them (StoryHive), How to Learn Anything (Telus T.V.), Folk Lordz seasons 1 and 2, and The Next Best Thing (Mosaic Entertainment). Ballendine got her start after joining the award-winning Rapid Fire Theatre back in 2009, she now serves as the company’s Director of Education. Improv has allowed her to travel all over North America and Europe, performing, and teaching comedy. She is currently working on developing a series named Lupita, which was the finalist for the National Screen Insitute’s Totally Television program in 2020 and is writing on a CBC series coming out soon.
